Thank you for your interest in Josephine and Laurentina. We hope that you will be able to join us at one of our trunk shows this season. This year we are happy to donate part of our proceeds to charities that are meaningful to us and to our friends in Italy and the US.
In New York City, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we have chosen Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center where many of our friends have been successfully treated for breast cancer. In Rome we will donate proceeds to Susan G. Komen Italia, which is an Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors fighting to save lives, empower people, and energize science to find cures. In Charlotte, NC a donation will be given to the Will Froelich Fellows at UNC. Distributions paid out of the fund will be used to provide fellowships to prospective students who have been admitted to the University and to the Honors Program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Students who are awarded these fellowships will share Will's adventuresome spirit, his lively intellect, his interest in civic life, and his compassionate humanity. Lastly, in Nashville proceeds will go to the McNeilly Center, one of the largest providers of childcare for low income families in Middle Tennessee. McNeilly Center is a system of schools whose mission is to provide affordable, quality childcare to children ages 16 months to 12 years of age whose parents are working, in job training or in school. The donation is given in honor of Pat Gordon McNeilly.
We hope that our donations will show our appreciation to the communities that have welcomed us.
